Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Benhaddou - Dades Valley

After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad in Marrakech, you’ll embark on a lifetime journey down to the deep south of Morocco. Drive across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains with its impressive landscapes, unique flora & fauna offering excellent opportunties for taking memorable pictures. You’ll visit the dramatic village of Ait Benhaddo h u that was listed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1987 because of its striking architecture comprising of numerous Kasbahs (fortresses) by the hill and the Ounila River.

After lunch, you’ll continue on the track further south to the Dades Valley while including a short break in the Valley of Roses. It’s in here you can learn about the different products that are made out of roses including rose water, soap, lotions and much more. Spend the night in a comfortable and well-equipped hotel/Riad in Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

Today, we will carry on our journey further south and you will begin to notice the signs of the desert through the barren rock plateaux. You’ll be surprised by the lush valley of Todra with its plam trees and the everflowing river. Stretch your legs in the impressive Todra canyons while enjoying the refreshing breeze before continuing on the track to the Sahara Desert through the administrative center of Erfoud. The city of Erfoud is known for the annual Festival of Dates and a designated dates market is located in the very heart which may include a visit to.

When we arrive in the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, you’ll have a camel ride experience atop the dunes to attend the majestic view of the sunset. You may try sand boarding before getting back to the desert camp where you can have a delicious dinner served in a tented restaurant or under the stars in such a unique atmosphere. 

Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Alnif - Agdz - Ouarzazate

Early wake up in the morning, climb up the sand dune to attend the miraculous view of the sunrise. Have a nice breakfast under the sunlight before continuing on the track to Ouarzazate while including a short break in the city of Rissani. This city is know for the popular weekly traditional Souk “market” that takes place three times a week and is really a social gathering for the locals and for the Berber living the Sahara. 

You’ll drive through the black desert plateau along the former volcanic mountains of the Anti Atlas. The views are stunning and the drive is enjoyable. Cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tnifift pass before reaching Ouarzazte (Hollywood of Africa) where you’ll spend the night.

Day 4: Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakech

After having breakfast in your Riad/hotel, you’ll head back to Marrakech while including a visit to the dramatic Kasbah of Taorirt, this Kasbah is located in the heart of the city and has a rich history. You may also want to include a visit to the Atlas Film Studios where many Hollywood celebrities have been filmed such as Gladiator, Lawrance of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia and much more. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains while many short breaks for taking pictures or chilling out before arriving to Marrakech in the evening.

As always, once we arrive in Marrakech we will make sure to drop you off in the nearest location to your accommodation; however, if your Riad is in the very heart of the Medina, which is inaccessible by car, we will have you covered as we will arrange with the staff members of the Riad you are staying in to meet up with us in a designated point so that you they can escort you to your accommodation hassle-free…
